Maybe this can work

Just returned from a visit to Quebec. Not the germy part but an isolated part near Mt. Tremblant. Still made me a bit nervous but it was pretty easy to isolate and wear masks when in stores.
The striking thing for me was the drive back. I stopped in Ottawa where people seem to be very much on top of taking care and certainly felt safe with the friends I saw. Even sat on a patio and had a beer with my friend and enjoyed a great Lunch at the Chateau Laurier patio once I passed a temperature check and Covid enquiry.
For me the interesting part was the way in which the rest stops on the 401 were handling traffic. There was a masked attendant at the door of the two I visited and his mission was clear. No mask, no entry for food. Possible exemption if your plan was only to pee but this waiver came with an admonishment... “OK, but Wash your Hands”. Follow up was pretty good, no chance of sneaking into the food court afterwards. It was interesting to be in a place where compliance for masks was complete. It just seemed normal that we all wearing masks
Some people don't like this level of control but it lets me sleep at night. There is no surge so far and I am happy except I have a lot of American family and friends and their situation is very, very worrisome.
