I kinda get it

Eons ago when I was a clinical psychology intern in a V.A hospital there was, from time to time, commentary on the fact that many of patients were poorly oriented for time and some for place. On occasion this led to divided opinion as to whether this reflected degenerative neurological impairment or social isolation. Now I think I know where to land in this discussion. At least I hope I do.
The other day my daughter called to chat while she was out for a walk (the multi-tasking is relentless during Covid times if you raise kids, work and hope to control your weight and mind) and as pleasant as the chat was I was a bit surprised she had called because she normally calls on Monday or Tuesday. The following day as I stepped out for a walk I was surprised to run into the Postman thinking to myself it was strange they were working on a Sunday.
Shortly after when I realized it was in fact Tuesday I recalled the internship discussion. Social isolation does this. I am in fact pretty intact just as were many of the patients I suspect. I get my taxes in on time, cook, do laundry and all that, but still it is easy to lose a weekend.
Been there yesterday (Tuesday)!
