I have been shot.

I received my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday and it was surprisingly easy.

For some time, other than a promise that a province wide system for registering would be available on March 15 ( the ides), the system seemed to have gone catatonic. Suddenly on the March 11 a friend called, told me how to register and I had my appointment for yesterday the 18th. People who waited until the government opened the province wide system experienced the predictable chaos but in the end the system seems to have held up.

The organization at the vaccination centre was excellent. I was in and out in forty minutes with 15 of those minutes being spent reading while waiting to be released. My shot was administered by an anesthesiologist ( nice touch) and it didn't hurt a bit.
