I blinked

Damn, I was cruising along in denial so nicely. This morning as I walked through the Zocolo and discovered that although this was day one of stage two of the Mexican response it looked a lot like yesterday and the day before. Not crowded, good space possibilities except for the the continuing manifestation (protest demonstration) by the indigenous people of the Sierra Sul.

That did it. Time to go even though the CoronoV figures for Mexico and specifically Oaxaca are quite low.

Having decided to flee things went well. Booked two flights, one Friday to Mexico city. one Saturday to Torona. Figure one night wandering around an airport hotel practising to wear a mask would be good. The two day plan allows for excellent flight times which means I will arrive back in the north well rested.

So, all good eh! No!!

My plan was to SKI home (that is the acronym for Spend the Kids Inheritance ) taking a Lincoln Town car to minimize the spread of the aforementioned dreaded CoronoV. Not possible I found out.

Niagara Airbus and Shuttle company is suspending operations as of Wednesday night. So I am left with a 100 kilometre gap in my plan to head for quarantine.
