I am just horrified!!

For quite some time now I have been horrified by the image of people dying in nursing homes without the comfort of friends and families. When my wife died, clearly a bad thing, there was some solace in the fact that we as a family were all under one roof and could be together. Not much fun, but so much better than what people are going through now. All this comes in to focus at this point because as I write we as a country are holding a "Virtual Vigil" for the 22 people killed in the meaningless, crazed shooting episode in Nova Scotia last week end. I cannot imagine the collateral damage inflicted on those poor families.
